Why are there so many files and data formats in NRD 1?

The legacy daily data service has a separate feed for each TLD type (ccTLD, gTLD), domain type (new, dropped, changed, discovered), and data content (domain list only/WHOS data). Within each feed, there are multiple data formats. A part of all these is available in NRD 1. While this structure facilitates downloading the needed data only, it was found impractical by many customers in practice, and files were consolidated in NRD 2.
